How Bakers’ Trust created awareness about baking industry in North – Publisher

National Bakers Trust online has helped create awareness on the issues around the baking industry especially in the North, while helping to reduce negative policies and sharp practices in the industry, the publisher has said.
Publisher and promoter of National Bakers Trust Online database and directory, Mr Ayodele Arokoyo, told reporters in Kaduna that  despite the baking industry being the second largest employers of labour in Nigeria, second only to government the publication has helped bridged the gap with the populace and government.

He lamented that such important sector of the economy has been lying fallow over the years without it being adequately and properly reported to the public.
”In the past, some government policies affect the baking industry negatively without the stakeholders knowing the channel through which to reach the government on the negative effect of its polices. Also, sharp practices in the industry were not being noticed by government and the populace, and list goes on.”

Arokoyo said that the online platform, which has database for state master bakers with a directory and other relevant stakeholders, had magazine space, advert and google search for improved engagement while ensuring feedback from consumers.

“The need for an online platform for bakers in North and Nigeria was long overdue. The baking industry was hitherto termed an all comers business, but with the advent of National Bakers Trust, that unawareness in the industry has been bridged.
“National Bakers Trust started as Bakers Trust, circulation only in Kaduna and environs, but today National Bakers Trust, is a national news magazine in the baking industry that has created a niche for itself making it a household name in the baking industry in Nigeria,” he said
