Kaduna state government has said it will deal with staff of any selected primary health care centres sabotaging the Kaduna state contributory health scheme.
Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Baloni, stated this during a one-day workshop for the Kaduna State Contributory Health Scheme Health Care (KSCHS) providers, held Tuesday in Kafanchan.
The commissioner who was represented by the Deputy Director, Hospital Services in the ministry, Dr Jonathan Gajere, also challenged the selected PHCs yet to be offering 24hrs services to brace up and work out modalities to do so for the task ahead.
She stated that the scheme is a replica of the National Health Insurance Scheme and it will automatically capture all civil servants in the state and private individual interested joining scheme.
In a goodwill message, the representative of the Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Health Care Development Agency, Mr Jona Akau tasked participants to ensure they put in their best during the training.
Director General, Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority, Aliyu Saidu, said the body which is saddled with the responsibility of enrolling beneficiaries, organised the workshop to acquaint participant on the operationalisation of the scheme and also train them on their roles and responsibilities.
