Principal partners association to enhance student’s skill

Authorities of Government Girls’ Secondary School (GGSS)Dutse and association of former female athletes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have organised a training programme to enhance students sporting skills.

Speaking Tuesday 28, the principal of the school Hajiya Rukaiyatu  Inuwa Hussain reiterated commitment to give priority attention to extra- curricular activities in the school.

Hussain who doubles as a deputy director in the FCT Secondary Education Board(SEB) thanked members of the association for choosing her school for the training programme just as she encourage benefitting students to put more efforts in the pursuit of their academic  and sporting ambition.

He noted that the school authority would continue to provide conducive atmosphere for the students to conduct their extracurricular activities throughout their stay in the school.

She tasked parents to give priority attention on the education of a girl- child  in the society noting that nowadays, records have shown that girls performed better than their male counterpart.

The principal  applauded management of SEB on the provision of sporting equipment to enhance students performance in sports even as she enjoined the students to abide by the school rules and regulations at all the times.

    The training session covers handball, basketball and football.
