Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted three farmers including a couple in Sanyo area of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
It was learnt that the three farmers were abducted by gunmen on Monday evening while working on their farm.
Sources said the gunmen on arriving the village fired some shots into the air before overpowering the three farmers and abducted them to yet to be ascertained location.
When contacted, Oyo state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Lawrence Fadeyi, confirmed the abduction of the farmers, and that the command is presently investigating circumstances surrounding the kidnap.
CSP Fadeyi said policemen from the Oyo state Police command are presently on the trail of the gunmen.
