Group plans exhibition, school fair

Annual School Needs Exhibition (ASNE) is set to host over 500 schools across the country to mark its 8th annual exhibition in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The convener of the programme, Emem Opashi, while briefing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, stated that the exhibition, slated for May 16th, is a way of giving platform designed to connect relevant business to all educators and stakeholders in the education system.
She explained that the need for ASNE programme with the theme: “Education without borders: Looking at the global picture”, was as a result of the realisation that the federal government was not putting sufficient structures in place.
“So we are supporting the FG by partnering with the private sector to provide the necessary leverage” She also noted that they were driven by their passion to strongly and incrementally influence the quality of education in the country through this unique opportunity.
“The exhibitors are to share their services and products to a wider audience ranging from school owners, teachers, students, parents, to relevant government officials” “ASNE is our way of stamping a visual picture of the journey to what quality standard, wellequipped education can be when we get it right as a nation” “Education products and services all in one place make it convenient and accessible for all concerned” Also, Sam Obafemi of Sam Obafemi Behavioural Change (SOBC) said the essence of the exhibition is to encourage every business owners and to re-evaluate their strategies. According to him, to address the issue of recession, business owners need to go back to the drawing board, adding that all school business owners should key into the programme.
Head, marketing and sales school kits limited, Ope Olurotimi, said ASNE is a one stop platform for stakeholders and players in the education industry.
