Group flays minister over statement on PDP

A pro-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) group, under the aegis of Concerned PDP Ambassadors, has taken a swipe at the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, over the statement that the PDP should not be voted for in the forthcoming general elections.

The group in a statement signed by its Director General, Barrister Umar Magaji, and the Administrative Secretary, Prince Ralph Clement, described the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), as a failure.

The statement also described the incumbent government as ‘mere propagandist’, stressing that Nigerians were dying of hunger on daily basis without hope after series of promises the APC-led government had made.

“This government has failed woefully and cannot take Nigeria anywhere. None of the promises made by this government has been fulfilled.

“Instead of this government to take responsibility of their failure and deceitful tendencies, they are busy fighting and blackmailing the PDP. Very soon we will come out with the true assessment of this APC led government on their achievements and compared to that of the PDP.

“Nigerians will soon react to what is happening in the country, especially those who were deceived to send recharge cards to support the campaign of this government.”

The group also decried the fact that Nigerians were moving out of the country, in their thousands, for a better life elsewhere with some of them dying in the process on the high sea, noting that Nigerians didn’t have such experience during PDP led government.
