The Gombe state 2023 PDP flagbearer, Hon. Mohammed Jibrin Barde, has tasked the newly-inaugurated campaign council of the party to uphold unity and operate an all-inclusive strategy.
Hon Barde, who made the call at the official inauguration of the Gombe State PDP Campaign Council on Wednesday, said unity of purpose and “extending a hand of fellowship” to each and every member of the PDP would be a sure way to the party’s ultimate goal of achieving electoral victory in 2023.
While hailing the composition of the campaign council, which he said has committed democrats, he warned that “the task ahead will be tough because you are responsible for both organising and monitoring campaigns, in line with party directives and for being the only recognised structure for this herculean task”.
The event was graced by power brokers of the opposition PDP, notably former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Malam Bayero Nafada, and new groups of decampees, among a host of other stakeholders.
