God revealed to me Feb 14 polls shift to avert disaster – Balogun

Prophet Sunday Balogun oversees the Garden of Love and Deliverance Ministries located in Masaka, Nasarawa state. In this chat with GODWIN TYONONGU, he said God had told him that the February 14 presidential election would be shifted in order to avert a crisis of monumental proportion that would have befallen the country. He also bared his mind on the abducted Chibok schoolgirls.

The beginning
I want to tell you that by the special Grace of God, I am amongst the men of God that He has given the mantle to prophesy, to heal, and to do miracles according to His will. Since I have been in this office as a prophet, God has been revealing things to me concerning our country. And ever since God has been revealing these things to me and I have been prophesying and telling Nigerians what has been happening; and they have all come to pass.

February 14 poll shift
There was confusion in the land and everybody thought that the noise was too such. Nobody knew about the state of Nigeria; whether it was going to be one or going to be split. People, therefore, began to run, they were afraid of death. So, as a prophet, I took it upon myself as a burden and told my congregation that we must pray for God to reveal the solution to us since we were on the precipice.
We began to pray and when I prayed secretly, God told me that the polls would be shifted. And I further asked my congregation to join me in prayers for a period of three days before the election date.
We did that for three days and on Wednesday, I told the whole church that the polls would be shifted through March to April. They all shouted, Ah! How will it be possible? And I revealed to them, saying that God has spoken. If God shows me something as a prophet, it will come to pass. Well, the rest is now history as the polls were shifted to March 28 and April 11. But I am still praying.

Ditto 2011
In 2011, there was a prophecy on this altar here that the 2015 elections would be shifted, would be postponed, and it was written down. It is our tradition here that each year, when we about to cross over to a new year, there would be a particular prophecy on what would happen throughout. So this has been happening.

The bomb blast at Eagle Square
I stood on the altar during Sunday service and announced to the congregation that there would be a bomb blast somewhere in the capital territory and that someone should tell Mr. President that I can see a blast; I can see blood in particular places. This, too, came to pass on October 1 at the Eagle Square.

Jonathan will win March 28 poll
President Goodluck Jonathan will win the March 28 election; this has already been revealed to me. Let me tell you this now. I had once told Senator Smart Adeyemi that a strong opposition party would be formed and that a lot of PDP members would pull out of the party and join the new party. You can confirm this from him. When I told him this he just sat down and was only staring at me. I told him that once that emerged, it would shake the PDP to its foundation, and that there would be chaos in the ruling party, but it would pick itself up in time to still win the election. So, Jonathan will certainly defeat General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd).
I have just returned from Smart Adeyemi’s house and this was what he was reminding me about while we were discussing national issues. According to him, when I said I new party would emerge, he wondered how it was going to be possible, but that what is happening now really confirmed the Voice of God.

Obasanjo, others wrong on polls shift
Some of our past leaders like Chief Olusegun Obasanjo still think that it was the leadership of the PDP that influenced the postponement, but let me tell you that the shift in the election dates was the will of God. God loves this country Nigeria despite our mistakes. The country needed that postponement in order to get things done well. This shift did not emanate from the doings or desires of any party’s leadership. It was the work of God to forestall the deaths that would have happened assuming the polls held in February. God who created us sees the future and the events to come before they eventually come to pass.
What happened concerning the shift in the date was an answer to the prayers of the very many concerned Nigerians, who prayed day and night asking God for peace and mercy. Here too, we have been praying for violence-free polls. So, if God in His wisdom decided to shift the polls. I think we have no reason to question Him as human beings.

Bloodbath averted by poll shift
Yes, I saw it coming. Had it been the election was not shifted, thousands of Nigerians would have lost their lives; innocent citizens would have met their untimely deaths through the evil men who are bent on fomenting trouble in this land.I thank God for the love He has for this nation. The wanton killings and massive bloodshed have been averted. God saw it and removed what would have befallen the nation now; there is no need to panic. When people were running to their villages, I stood as a prophet with a mantle of God and told them that there was no reason for anybody to panic or run away. You can see now that there is relative calm across the country. All those who ran to their home states from their places of residence can now return and participate in the elections by voting for candidates of their choice. I know that there will be some deaths here and there, but at the end, there would be victory and peace.

On Chibok schoolgirls
President Jonathan is not playing politics with the Chibok schoolgirls issue; we should not see it that way. I believe that as clergyman or a prophet,I should pray for our leaders fervently, from the president down and that is what I have been doing together with my members, so that God can provide them with guidance, wisdom and all the necessary tools to
enable them do the right thing to improve the country. The issue of Boko Haram is not that of Jonathan alone; it is a battle that requires collective efforts and continuous prayers for us to win. But just as we fought Ebola through prayers, Boko Haram too shall soon be a thing of the past.

God not happy with Jonathan
I once told the media and even when I visited the police headquarters I told them to relay the message to Jonathan that God was not happy with him. Before I visited them, I had a revelation while I was praying for cross over. In that revelation, God said I should tell Jonathan that He was the one that put him on that seat; that the president did not struggle to be on the seat, but he is now struggling. He told me that if Jonathan did not act fast to mobilise the resources at his disposal to equip the military in the fight against insurgency, that He would allow his opponent to defeat him at the polls; that when the opponent takes over, he (Jonathan) will be in trouble.
God ended the messages by saying that if Jonathan listened to the prophecy and act according to His will, he would succeed. I told them that the military should be given what they needed to fight insurgency in the North-east because the Nigerian Army is not weak. They have done well in peace keeping missions abroad and are being respected as the best in Africa, why can’t they fight insurgency. Thank God, after I gave the message in the IG’s office, and the next day, President Jonathan flew to Maiduguri and visited the soldiers. Since then you can see how the fight has changed. Our soldiers have the support they need from the leadership and they are prosecuting the fight very well. I believe with the help and Grace of God, the insurgents will be defeated soon.

Advice for Jonathan ahead polls
I advise him to be prayerful and steadfast. He has been a gentle, cool-headed leader with a level of integrity. He as a person is a good man, but for the people around him. What we need in this country now are leaders and not rulers. He should restore in the people the confidence they need so that there will be no room for suspicious here and there. Just as I said, I see him as a man of integrity; therefore, he should not lose focus, leadership is destined by God and surely, whosoever He wants to put there will be the one to be there at the end. I am not a politician, I do not belong to any party, but I am only giving an advice to my president.
