Flying Eagles star, Sarki, joins Asia club

Rilwanu Haliru Sarki, the talented winger of the Flying Eagles, has recently made a significant move in his football career. This summer, he signed a long-term contract with Al-Ain, a prestigious Emirati club, marking his entry into the ranks of the UAE giants.

Hailing from Kebbi, Nigeria, Haliru Sarki showcased his abilities during the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina. He was particularly impressive in his performances for the Flying Eagles, despite their elimination in the quarterfinals against Korea. 

Throughout the tournament, Sarki demonstrated his agility and finesse as a left-footed winger. Notably, he scored a vital goal against the tournament hosts, Argentina, during the Round of 16, securing his team’s victory.
