Barely 24 hours after his inauguration, the newly elected Governor of Adamawa state, Hon.Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has appointed Engr Bashir Ahmed as the new Secretary to the State Government ( SSG) and Solomon kumangar as director General media and communication to the governor.
Adamawa state AIT correspondent George kushi has also been appointed as chief press secretary to the deputy Governor Chief Seith crowther.
Speaking while swearing in the new SSG, Fintiri said his choice of the new SSG is due to his high sense of integrity, humility, accountability and competence.
He charged the new SSG to “do everything possible within his power to get things done rightly even if it means stepping on toes, and put Adamawa state first in the performance of his responsibilities.”
Fintiri further charged the new SSG to be fair, honest and just to all manners of people irrespective of differences.
In his acceptance speech, the new SSG Engr. Bashir Ahmed thank the governor for the appointment assuring that he will not disappoint but will justify the confidence reposed on him.
