FG to enforce JAMB’s cut-off mark

The federal government has said that it will prevail on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Examinations Board (JAMB) to enforce a cut-off point of 200 for candidates coming into the teaching profession

The minister of state for education, Prof Anthony Anwuka , said this in Abuja on Monday

He said cut-off point for prospective teachers as currently obtained through colleges of education and other higher institutions was unacceptable He said the low cut off point for teachers will lower the standard of education and said federal government would meet with JAMB to review the cut off points for university candidates
