FG reappoints NABTEB boss

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the reappointment of Dr. Olatunde Awotokun Aworanti as Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) for another four years.

According to a press statement issued by the Board’s Head of Media/ Public Affairs, Mr. Adeyemi Brown, the registrar’s reappointment was conveyed in a letter dated 12th January, 2015 – with Reference  No. SGF. 6/S.14/XXIII/T/224.
The statement quoted Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim, in the letter as saying “the appointment was in accordance with section 6(1) and (3) of National Business and Technical Examination Board, Decree (Now Act) 70, 1993”.
Aworanti was first appointed on February 14, 2011. His reappointment took effect from 14th February, 2015.

It said: “Born on October 11, 1958 in Ada, Boripe local government area of Osun state, the NABTEB Boss bagged a National Certificate in Education in 1980 and afterwards proceeded to the University of Ilorin where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education/Biology in 1984.
“Not done with his dogged determination to attain greater heights, Dr. Aworanti also bagged a Master of Science (Education) in 1985 and crowned it all with a Doctoral Degree (PhD) Science Education in 1995.”
