The Local Organising Committee of the Odogwu U.17 football competition has fixed Tuesday January 7, 2020 as the kick off date of the tournament holding in Gwagwalada, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
In the fixtures released on Thursday December 26, 2019, the Organisers said the six teams that scaled through the screening have been grouped into two.
Later on, two teams from each group will to semi final which would be played on January 18 and 19.
According to the fixture, 2S Academy will play Real Justice in the opening match, while Babayaro Academy will settle scores with Ejiwumi Dynamics the next day.
Meanwhile, FCT FA Chairman Mouktar Adams has identified with the tournament. Mouktar said that he would be physically present in the final to give out the trophies to the winners.
He described the donor of the tournament as a passionate grassroot developer who cannot be ignored at anytime.
Also, two corporate outfits ECN Global International, Osogbo and Success Tiyu, Lokoja have thrown their weights behind the tournament that is being sponsored by Patrick Ngwaogu, the Sporting Director of Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia who was the immediate past first Vice Chairman Of FCT FA.
