Efforts being made by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to arrest corrupt public office holders in the country have been commended.
The commendation was made by a one-time member of the House of Representatives, who represented Garki/Babura federal constituency, Hon. Nasiru Dantiye, while speaking on a Freedom Radio programme monitored by Blueprint yesterday in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.

According to him, that Nigeria needs a leader who can provide purposeful leadership based on quality and capability and that “anybody that steals public funds should be made to face the wrath of the law.”
Dantiye described the recent arrest of politicians by the EFCC as “timely,” pointing out that “I do not mind whose ox is gored provided the public funds are recovered and those involved are arrested and prosecuted.”
He, therefore, urged the anti-graft agency to continue with the arrest and prosecution of corrupt officials “no matter their positions in the society.”
