Eid-el-Kabir: Yobe pays workers August salary

The Yobe state government has commenced the payment of August 2018 salary to its workers ahead of the Eid-El-Fitr Sallah celebration holding on Tuesday, August 21, according to declaration by the President General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, His Eminence Mohammad Sa’adu Abubukar III.
Saminu Hassan and Adamu Mohammed who are civil servants in the state, confirmed to our correspondent that they received their alert of the August 2018 salary yesterday at 2.15pm, adding that they have never doubted getting their salary before the festivity because Governor Ibrahim Gaidam had never in history failed to pay salary of his workers even when the federal government allocation was not paid to states and local governments.
Blueprint also gathered that the state government had also paid the gratuity of its retired and deceased civil servants up to December 2017 while those who retired in 2018 were undergoing screening for payments.
