The Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Emmanuel Alex Hart, Wednesday urged the state lawmakers-elect to use their positions after inauguration to make good laws for the good and development of the State.
This was just as the REC also tasked winners to be magnanimous in victories in order to promote peace and progress in the state.
Hart made the call while presenting certificate of returns to winners of the election at the State INEC office annex in Benin City, the state capital.
According to him, “Election is not war. It’s only but a game of interest… I urge any aggrieved person to approach the election petition tribunal already set up to seek redress in accordance with the laws of the land.
“The candidates were given their certificate of returns because they contested in the election and won,” he stated.
