Dickson’s serving commissioner, others join APC

Bayelsa state Commissioner for Youth Development, Ibarakumo Otobo, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Otobo, who tendered his resignation letter yesterday at the state executive council meeting, drove straight to the APC secretariat, stressing he had the right to belong to any party.
“I have formerly resigned my position as a commissioner of the
restoration government. I’m not afraid of anybody. I don’t belong to any where there is failure. I have come with great things and great things will follow us. Goodbye to PDP,” he stated.
Also, a Special Adviser to the Governor on Grassroots Mobilisation and Director, Centre for Youth Development, Asari Mangete, on his own maintained that he was given an appointment without any mobilisation funds.
“They gave me an S.A, yet I don’t know who I’m leading. If you don’t give me what to work with I will rather resign,” he said.
The new chairman of the party, Jothan Amos, in his welcome remarks, said their defecting to APC was an indication that the party was taking over the state.
“We will bring the good things that are happening at the centre. As far as we are concerned, APC is coming to take over Bayelsa state. You can see that our people are suffering. They are dying.
Also speaking, the member representing Brass constituency 1 at the Bayelsa state Assembly, Sunny Goli, said the restoration government was restoring poverty in the state, adding that “It is time for us to come together and ensure that come 2020 we take over creek haven.”
