Two –time FIFA World Cup runners –up Falconets will entertain their Tanzanian counterparts in Nigeria on 16th September, with both teams to conclude the fi rst round fi xture on 30th September in Dar es Salaam.
Midfi eld stalwarts Joy Bokiri and Cynthia Aku, and star forward Rasheedat Ajibade are among the players who have been instructed to report at the Serob Legacy Hotel, Wuye, today with their training kits, original birth certifi cates and international passports. Danjuma says the 30 players selected are the best he and his technical crew members could gathered and very confi dent that they will deliver the goods. “Qualifying for the FIFA Under-20 competition is part of the mandate given to me and my colleagues, and I’m confi dent that we shall fulfi ll it. Th e invited players are picked on merit. We are commencing training and other preparation so as to ensure that we will the fi rst leg convincing here in Nigeria before going for the second leg in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania,” he said
