CUPP will defeat Buhari in 2019 – PDP chieftain

The chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Zaria local government area of Kaduna state, Alhaji Samaila Musa Sarkin Gwandu said yesterday that the Coalition of Political Parties (CUPP) will defeat President Muhammadu Buhari’s APC in 2019 general elections because the APC also won in 2015 through coalition of political parties.
Since the APC Government came to Power in 2015 he noted, the expectations from the masses that President Muhammadu Buhari will change their lives for better was not met and, instead of better condition of living, people are now subjected to massive hunger, daily cases of Kidnappings, communal and religious crisis and massive unemployment.
In 2015, five Governors from PDP broke away under the leadership of Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Kawu Baraje and joined APC with their supporters.
Today, the Governors, namely; Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara state, Murtala Nyako of Adamawa, Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano and Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Former Speaker House of Representatives are today in CUPP with the aim of dislodging the APC Federal Government.
Samaila Musa Sarkin Gwandun Zazzau stated that the Buhari Administration has not commissioned any N50million Project in the North in the past three years apart from the Kano to Abuja Express Roads which it hurriedly launched two weeks ago because 2019 is getting closer.
This is a government that is insisting that people should go back to the farm.
Yet, it cannot guarantee security of lives and properties because cases of Kidnapping and communal clash especially in Kaduna, Zamfara, Benue, Plateau, Taraba, and just of recent, Sokoto state is threatening to make Nigeria a lawless country that people cannot go to bed with their eyes closed.
“Who are the people in APC that will give Buhari victory in 2019? We know that power is from God but there are those that without them, one can hardly make it to the Presidency, and we have people like Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, retired General T.Y Danjuma and Aliyu Gusau, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Speaker Yakubu Dogara and many other prominent Nigerians who have international and local connections that are not supporting Buhari’s return in 2019.”
