In compliance with the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 directives on the reopening of all NYSC orientation camps across the country, all camp officials for the 2020 Batch B, Stream ll orientation course were mandated to undergo the RDT covid test to certify their status before being allowed entry into the camp.
This was disclosed to Blueprint on Monday when the compulsory test of camp participants took place at Kubwa NYSC orientation camp in FCT.In a statement, the Director-General of NYSC, Brig-General Shuaibu Ibrahim, said the compulsory test took place in all orientation camps.
At the NYSC orientation camp at Iseyin, the state coordinator, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe, led the officials in the Covid test conducted by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) surveillance team in collaboration with the corps medical personnel.
He therefore, advised corps members and camp officials to strictly abide by Covid-19 protocols to ensure safety in camps.
