COVID-19: Anambra residents urged to maintain regular exercise

As coronavirus pandemic wreaks havoc nationwide, residents of Anambra state have been adviced to maintain regular exercise aside observing WHO approved safety protocol.

Anambra state born philanthropist Mr Valentine Ozigbo, gave the advice on Saturday, while addressing his supporters at Walk4Health, a periodic healthy exercise he organised at Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area.

Ozigbo, who had held similar event at Awka, Onistha and other parts of the State, explained that regular exercise promotes healthy living and longevity.

According to him, “Walk for health promotes total health. We need to maintain regular exercise every day. It helps to promote healthy living and longevity. It is someone who is alive and healthy is contesting for governorship election. It is someone who is healthy is voting in an election.

“Regular exercise will help us especially now there is coronavirus. You can see that we observed all the basic COVID-19 safety protocol as recommended by the World Health Organisation. I want to charge you to always keep to the protocol so we can contain the speed of the virus in our country.”

On the Anambra state 2021 governorship poll, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant urged electorate yet to obtain voters card to endeavour to enroll through the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), so as to be eligible to participate in enthroning good governance.
