Community health board to address quacks, unlicensed operators – Registrar

The new Registrar of Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria, Alhaji Bashir Idris, has expressed readiness to address quacks in the profession.
Speaking during a reception in his honour by the National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria, Kaduna state chapter and the Northwest zonal forum in Kaduna, Alhaji Idris said the board will also tackle those operating without license.

According to the Registrar, the board will partner Federal Ministry of Health and the National Assembly to review the law that established it to meet up with global standard.
He said quacks in schools of health technologies and those practicing without license will face the wrath of the law in order to sanitise the profession.
