Christmas: Gov. Ishaku felicitates with Christians

Taraba state Governor, Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku on Friday felicitates with Christians in the state on the occasion of the birth of our lord Jesus Christ.

Ishaku, in a press statement signed by his senior special adviser on Media and publicity,  Mr. Bala Dan and a copy made available to Blueprint, said Christmas is a key part and reminder of God’s grand salvation plan for mankind.

The statement noted that the coming of Jesus Christ into the world through a unique, but humble birth process remains the greatest symbol of identity, hope and unity among Christians all over the world.

The statement maintained that the Christmas which is the anniversary of that great act of God’s love for humanity deserves to be celebrated.

According to the statement, Ishaku urged Christians not to forget the lesson behind the birth of Jesus and the circumstances of that unique birth, all of which point to God’s love for mankind.

The statement reminded Christians to also endeavour to demonstrate the lesson and spirit behind Christmas among themselves and also in their relationship with people of other religions and faiths.

The statement added that governor Ishaku reminded Christians not to forget to pray against Covid 19 which is still prevalent in the country even as they celebrate.

The statement said that the recent statistics of prevalence  indicate that the country is into a new wave of the infection and called for prayers and actions against the pandemic.

The statement called for the continuation of strict compliance with the protocols of prevention which his administration has faithfully promoted.

The statement said it is only through sustained collective action that the Country can win the war against the pandemic.
