Tragedy struck in Auchi, Etsako West local government area of Edo State after a truck conveying cement, lost control and rammed into several vehicles held in traffic.
Five persons were feared dead in the incident while six others sustained varrying degree of injuries.
Blueprint gathered that the accident occurred at about 11.am at Jattu junction, along the Benin-Abuja express way.
Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anthony Oko confirmed the incident.
Oko who attributed the accident to a burst tyre disclosed that the truck was coming towards Benin
According to him, “seven vehicles were involved in the accident.
“15 people were involved in in the accident, five died while six sustain various degree of injuries.”
