The publicity sub-committee for governor Mai Mala Buni and his deputy Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana’s swearing-in for second term in office has begun activities for effective coverage of the event.
Commissioner for home affairs, information and culture who is the publicity sub-committee chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Lamin, made this known Friday while briefing newsmen in his office in Damaturu, Yobe state capital.
Lamin said looking objectively at governor Buni’s first tenure inaugural speech in 2019, and his accomplishments despite the Covid-19 challenges and the economic recess, the performance standards reached is close to 80 percent which is above pass mark in the World Wide Governance Indicator (WWGI).
He said this is traceable in the area of infrastructure, health sector reforms, education, youth, women empowerment, employment generation among others
“No doubt, Gov.Buni is a promise keeper and committed visionary leader whose objectivity is among others ensuring development and better living standard for his people,” he said.
He called on members of the public to come out enmasse to witness the inauguration.
“Government is expecting citizens of the state to conduct themselves in appropriate manner and give the security agencies maximum support and cooperation for the event to succeed,” he added.
