Buhari’s anti-corruption war

By Nze Okwarraeze Eronini

In one of my articles after the 2015 General Elections, I wrote very bluntly that President Buhari should confess to Nigerians and the world that the election that saw him through was marred by malpractices which is absolute corruption. If INEC and all the security forces compromised their responsibilities what is corruption and who aided them.
No one on earth can claim to be God Almighty and of course it will take the whole world to attain the level of Jesus Christ.

At the inception of the romance of President Buhari with Barrack Obama of the USA, I knew that Nigeria was heading for a serious crash. In my calculations, Obama is not a world leader, he is not peaceful  and has no peace instances. He saw the development strides of Nigeria, the foundations as laid by President Olusegun Obasanjo through Musa Yar’Adua and stabilized by President Goodluck Jonathan the light of the Nigerian nation. Instead of Nigeria breaking off into smaller units, it waxed stronger.

President Jonathan’s approach to agriculture and power strengthened the economy, Nigeria started playing excelling and prominent roles in Africa. America and Britain saw these developmental strides as a threat to their dominance. They started planning against Nigeria, even the truncated third term bid of former President Obasanjo was sponsored by them, they were not too suspicious of President Musa Yar’Adua but rather watched him, President Yar”Adua was intelligent and relied on his team, his demise and the emergence of President Jonathan was the worst that happened to the world overlords. They had in their wicked schemes predicted that the Nigerian nation would end in 2015.

The public lecture where Buhari told the world why he was in the presidential race for the 2015 general election which was organized in London was part of this support scheme. However, the Nigerian problem was security, we do not have internal and international security machinery as ours is a porous one. It is only in Nigeria that you see security operatives open up to the public without cause, they often boast to be security men to boost their ego, the DSS or SSS is the worst off, they make incessant noise against the run of established international best practices.

Our security agencies have been so monetized and material driven that even our police go down the lane collecting N20 the unsuspecting public, especially drivers. Now back to the main issue, Mr. President is yet to tell Nigerians his envisaged course to governance, his thinking on power, agriculture, the oil and gas sector, other mineral exploitations, industrial growth, the economy and social welfare.
Let us know how Mr. President intends to tackle corruption.

No one can fight evil by applying satanic tendencies, how can Mr. President succeed in these his probes and clampdowns and who are these teams that will assist him, is it the NPF, the EFCC the ICPC or the DSS, every Nigerian is corrupt because we live in SODOM AND GOMORRAH, a country where a messenger on the lowest grade level of Salaries in a Federal Institution drives a high class Jeep vehicle and owns duplexes in Abuja and big cities of Nigeria, a messenger whose assets are more than our sitting President with just N29million Small Buildings and even a MUD HOUSE.

Mr. President must think twice, in his first coming it was Brigadier Tunde Idiagbon, he was the initiator working behind the head of state but when the blames came it was the man incharge, the families of OWO and others who paid supreme price are today and forever feeling the pains, and seeing Nigerians the political class who are barons in the illicit market at the senators that claimed the lives of their beloved, governors and what have you in Nigeria and those making case for corruption my humble opinion is that corruption is evil and its practices satanic, we can stop it by living virtuously.
Let Mr. president conceive a reviewable master plan to plug off corruption and its practices in Nigeria.

It needed technocrats in Philosophy, psychology and Divinity. It will encompass the family, kindred, village and community and their various ways of life. There must be dictates to stop corruption and their practices, but can any one stop Nigerians from acquiring wealth, can Nigerians be contented with little profits, salaries, can Nigerians stop armed robberies, kidnappings and their sponsorships or even ritualism and their excesses.

Let the probes continue and the war against corruption escalated, but can Nigerians abandon growth to a fight that may not improve her people. The probes of 1984/85 did not help Nigeria enough why are we aiding underdevelopment, in the name of government of change. It is easy to start but difficult to stop a process, this corruption war must stop as its consequences may not be sustained, any sentiments drawn to this anti corruption war may not hold, the Igbos are BEETLES they do not die easily. Let Mr. President form his government and let the economy grow.
