Breaking: Tension heightens as co-chairman, 2 task force members test positive for Covid-19 in Kano

Report from Kano state reveals that three members of the state Task force on COVID-19 have tested positive for novel coronavirus.

An official press statement by the Public Relations Officer of Kano state Ministry of Health, Hajiya Hadiza Namadi, Friday, said, “With deep sense of sadness and on behalf of the state government, the Commissioner of Health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, hereby announces that the co-chairman and some members of Kano State Taskforce on COVID-19 were tested and three of the results came out positive for the coronavirus disease.

“The government, therefore, advises the general public to keep social distancing, avoid overcrowding and stay at home to keep safe as it continues to take measures to contain the spread of the disease in the state.”
