Breaking: Oladips shows up alive

Nigerian rapper Oladips, who was previously reported to have passed away by his management, has come forward with new evidence to prove that he is alive and well.

Blueprint reports that Oladips became a trending topic after his management released a statement claiming that the rapper had passed away on November 14, 2023

However, two days after the death announcement, a post by Nigerian singer and close associate of the rapper, Qdot, revealed that Oladips is alive and well.

Qdot’s revelation sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many doubting the authenticity of the death news.

Responding to the controversy on Thursday, Oladips posted a video on his Instagram story, showing him vibing to a song from his new album, ‘Superhero Adugbo’.

Captioning the video, he wrote, “Proof of life.”

Also in a video, captioned in Yoruba language “Orisha bi Iya Kosi” (There is no deity like a mother), he can be seen casually lounging outside a house with an elderly woman, who is believed to be his grandmother.

The video has since sparked viral reactions with some Nigerians astounded at the turn of events and berating the rapper for faking his death to remain relevant in the industry.

Meanwhile, a check by Blueprint confirmed that the obituary post on the rapper’s Instagram page had been deleted.
