The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has quietly ordered electricity distribution companies to increase the cost of electricity across their franchise areas.
Confirming the report, the Abuja Electricity Distribution company (AEDC), stated in a tweet on Wednesday wrote, “Good day, please be informed that the increase in Tariff complies with NERC order”.
At the time of filing the report, NERC has not released an official statement on the tariff rate.
