Two Nigeria National League (NNL) sides – Doma United FC of Gombe and Bendel Insurance FC of Benin have both gained promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Doma United beat their closest challengers Jigawa Golden Stars 2-0 to open up an eight-point lead at the top and clinch Group A2 Northern Conference’s sole promotion ticket with two games to spare.
Bendel Insurance on their part confirmed their NPFL status for next next season following Vandrezzer FC’s 3-1 defeat of second-placed Gateway United in their NNL match in Lagos.
