It was gory scene to behold after a heavy duty truck loaded with construction sand lost break and crushed a woman inside a moving vehicle along ever-busy airport road Lugbe, Abuja.
An eye witness told Blueprint that the woman whose identity was not obtained at press time was driving the crushed car coming from airport axis.
An exclusive video obtained by Blueprint shows the car covered in the sand where the remains of the victim was later pulled out.
Blueprint further gathered that the driver of the truck survived the accident but escaped.
The incident which occurred by 3pm, around popular Aso Estate junction Lugbe, Monday, caused hours of high traffic gridlock.
Blueprint reports that vehicles coming both sides of the highway were stuck as a result of the blocked movement as personnel of both Federal Road Safety Corps, Police and FCTA’s traffic management department tried to evacuate the scene.
As at the time of filling this report, officials of FRSC were yet to comment.
