Be good team players, Buni charges Yobe commissioners

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has Saturday urged the newly sworn-in commissioners in the state to be good team players and work closely with their Permanent Secretaries, Directors and other staff to collectively achieve goals of improving the lives of the people of Yobe state.

The governor made the called shortly after he sworn-in the newly appointed commissioners at the banquet hall, Government House Damaturu.

Governor Buni urged the commissioners be to leading figures in loyalty and diligence.
“As we progress into our second and final term of office, we are very much committed to achieving our set targets and meeting the aspirations of our people with minimum cost.This is a task that must be achieved for posterity to judge us positively.

“You should be reminded that as members of the State Executive Council, you are privileged to handle classified documents and information that requires absolute confidentiality.You should,therefore, handle all official matters according to the oath of allegiance and oath of secrecy you have already sworn to protect,”Buni stated.

The governor advised the commissioners to be prudent and transparent in executing projects and programmes placed under your trust.
