Bala earmarks N9b for construction of roads in Bauchi communities

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has earmarked over nine billion naira for the construction of 4 roads in different parts of Bauchi local government area to open up the axis for community demographic development.

The roads are 4.1km Sabon kaura-Birshi-BRC, 6km Zango-Gwallagan Mayaka-Dandango, 1.1km Bayara Township road and 2.6km Gwallameji-Rafin zurfi-Yolan Bayara Road.

Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the roads, Governor Bala said the prioritisation of roads construction and rehabilitation by his administration is a response to the yearnings and aspirations of the various communities that have suffered neglect over the years.

The governor warned traditional Rulers as well as community leaders to stand firm on the protection of their environments and commended the Communities for living in peace with one another despite the complexity of religion and tribal differences.

He then assured that his administration is committed to ensuring that projects are executed according to specifications and terms of the contract, and directed the Ministry of Works and Transportation ensure compliance through Monitoring and evaluation of the projects.

In a remark, an elder statesman in Bauchi, Alhaji Garba Muhammad Noma commended the Governor for the inventive move to develop the state and urged him to consider the reincarnation of the state dilapidated Industries for job creation and economic advancement.
