AU Agenda 2063: Suobo, others emerge as young leaders ambassadors

In a bid to redirect the course of the African continent to greatness, a crop of young leaders were made ambassadors to drive the agenda.

Their investiture took place at the African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly presented by 2022 African Youth Leadership Summit in Abuja.

One of the newly inducted Ambassadors Dr. Hephzibah Suobo, said the award came with a plague, certificate as honourary Fellow of the African School of Diplomacy and International Relations, a diplomatic plate number and badge of the AU Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly on course to birth a new Africa. 

“With this induction, I have now joined pan African leaders to make contributions for the continents development. Officially now Ambassador Dr. Hephzibah Suobo ( AU Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly),” he said. 

Director of the African Young Ambassadors Network (AYAN) Barr. Anthony Osawaru, explained that the network is a voluntary policy advocacy established to promote Pan-Africanism a sustainable Africa; with progressivedemocratic governance, quality of ife, dignity of labour, security, unity, peacefu coexistence, equality of person’s, respect for Human Rights, justice and the rule of law. 

Osawaru said AYAN is an organ of the African Union Ambassadorial Assembly and it’s framework upholds and promotes the formulation, implementation, domestication, monitoring and evaluation of the African Union Agenda 2063 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in Africa. 

“The network comprised of young Africans at heart cut across the five subregions comprising of Northern Africa, West Africa, Central or Middle Africa, East Africa, and Southern Africa, all citizens of the 54 countries invigorated with the dare passion for a better, prosperous, united and sustainable Africa. 

“The Africa We Want is possible if distinguished citizens of Africa awake to the adoption,aspirations and implementation of the objectives of the AU Agenda 2063,” he assured. 

According to him, AYAN  is opened to strategic partnership and sponsorship, adding that presently partners and collaborates with both private, public sector and civil societies organizations in galvanizing a collective inclusive participation in actualising it’s agenda and birthing the Africa We Want.

The African Union ECOSOCC  Nigeria, the African Civil Society Forum and the African School of Diplomacy and International Relations are formidabe navigators in promoting the AU Agenda 2063.

“As a patriotic African, lend your voice, promote the African Union Agenda 2063 and be part of creating  the Africa You Want,” he urged.

“With your involvement and collective participation, we can redefine, predetermine the future and achieve the sustainable AfricaWe Want.
