Arewa youth laud APC NEC over reforms

The Arewa Youth Alliance (AYA) for 2023 has commended the National Executive Council (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for embracing its advice to reposition the party through uniting its members which is the only guarantee to its success in the 2023 general elections.

In a press statement, AYA coordinator, Hon. Bello Lawan Bello, said the only pillar upon which, APC, the largest political party in Africa, will maintain its status rests on a visionary, purposeful and focused leadership that prioritises fairness, equity, justice and inclusiveness as its core values.

“There’s no doubt this has been clearly demonstrated by His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari and Senator Abdullahi Adamu led-NWC looking at the outcome of the just concluded emergency NEC meeting of the APC.

The outcome of the NEC meeting has once again proved the nay sayers wrong as it showcased the APC as the only party in Nigeria that promotes intra-party democracy and is determined to provide a level playing ground for all its aspirants as it set forth to conduct its presidential primary elections in May, 2022,” he said.

The Arewa Youth Alliance for 2023, therefore, called on the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party across the 19 Northern states to heed the advice of the president to ensure popular candidates emerge as parties flag bearers, adding that this is the only way the party will achieve rancour free and massive victory during the 2023 general elections.

The coordinator reiterated that his group will only support, mobilise and vote a presidential aspirant and other aspirants for various elective positions across the 19 Northern states that have the capacity, competence and acceptability to address the security situation ravaging the region.
