Apo community partners police on crime

Residents of APO resettlement in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have vowed to team up with the police to prevent break down of law and order.

The community stated this in an interview with Blueprint after stakeholders meeting organised by members of Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC). The committee solicited for the support and cooperation of the residents to bring crime to a standstill in Apo area.

Speaking during the programme, a member of PCRC, Mr. John Raymond praised patrol officers of the division for intensifying patrol to chase criminal elements in the area.

Contributing, a vigilante member, Mr. Etsu Gaza, tasked residents of the area to cultivate the culture of providing useful information to security agents.

The DPO in charge of Apo, CSP Emega John, said distress calls and rate of crime reduced to the barest minimum following intensive raids in the criminal hideouts.
