An All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) chieftain in Imo state, Dr.
Chima Nwosu has said that his party will take over the reins of leadership in Imo state come 2019.
Nwosu who was elated that the immediate past Governor of the state, Sir Ikedi Ohakim had joined the party, said that thethe part5y has “all it takes, physical, spiritual, and economic to take over power from the ruling APC.” He maintained that with the crisis in Imo APC, the rejection of the APC government in the state and the array of aspirants, the party would oust the ruling party in next year’s election.
Nwosu urged voters to buckle up and collect their PVCs to avoid being victims of maladministration from 2019.
He said: “They should not be complacent because it is their future.
They should go and pick it.” He advised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to simplify the collection process by going to the wards and LGAs to distribute the cards to help the entire process.
Meanwhile, another Imo APGA chieftain, Chief Emeka Ozumba has carpeted the immediate past governor of the state, Sir Ikedi Ohakim who just joined the party for the way he carried out his registration process in the party.
Ozumba who is the Chairman of APGA in Okigwe Zone, alleged that the former governor did not declare in his ward or LGA, Isiala Mbano before going to the state.
He said he was surprised that he defected to the party and declared to contest for governorship without telling him even though he hailed from the same ward with him.
