APC convention: S’West youth endorse Oshiomhole, Fashogbon

The South West-Progressive Youth Movement, the All Progressive Congress (APC) arm of the party, has endorsed the candidature of former Edo state governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and Dr. Fashogbon Oluwatayo Solomon ahead of the party’s national convention.
Oshiomhole is aspiring for the post of National Chairman, while frontline youth advocate, Fashogbon is eyeing the Deputy National Youth Leader of the party.
PYM coordinator, Ayokunle Oloye, in a statement yesterday said the party needs experienced and faithful leaders who could lead it to victory and provide adequate political leadership.
The group said it had resolved to reach out to delegates from other parts of the country to ensure positive support for Comrade Oshiomole and Dr. Fashogbon at the convention.
“The future of our party lies on a very successful convention and electing capable leaders who could peacefully interface with all stakeholders and propagate developments and achievements of the Buhari led federal government.
“If qualities will be brought to bear in achieving the ideals of the APC, we believe the duo of Oshiomhole and Dr. Fashogbon will be leaders the party deserves to have to make our party grow,” Oloye said.
The group said Fashogbon, like Oshiomhole, are in the race to provide credible youth leadership together with a new set of party leaders which would take the party to the next level.
“These are men of integrity capable of helping to create a new brand of APC that will take the country to the next level of greatness.
“After meeting in Akure, the Ondo state capital over the weekend, stakeholders in the APC endorsed the candidature of Comrade Oshiomhole and our very own Dr. Fashogbon at the general convention. Fashogbon has been consistently galvanising youths in the interest of the party since its creation,” he added.
