APC caucus faults Oyetola’s LG caretaker c’ttee

A caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC), The Osun Progressives (TOP), has faulted the local government caretaker committee appointed by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, describing it as “unacceptable.”

The group, in a statement by its chairman, Adelowo Adebiyi, Friday, noted that some members of the party that were not loyal to the Ileri-Oluwa group were exempted from the list.

However, TOP urged the aggrieved members of the party not to join another party, but to remain resolute in the pursuit of “a virile, functional and well-administered APC for the sake of good governance which only the progressive politicians can offer.”

“While it is truly not possible for everyone to be appointed at the same time, the brazen exclusion of non-members of the IleriOluwa Group was distastefully sufficient for anybody to protest.

“The APC caucus notes with displeasure the deceitful manner in which the majority of the members of the party were treated; such is unacceptable in any plural democracy.

“The TOP thus urges all members who are dissatisfied with the handling of the LG appointments to explore internal options and follow the lane where they will be treated with fairness, equity, and justice denied them by the current leadership,” the statement read in part
