After seven months of suspension of academic activities in Nigerian Universities, there are now indications that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) may call off its indefinite strike on Thursday.
123 branches have reportedly met and completed congresses to determine the fate of Nigerian students.
Blueprint had reported that the House of Representatives intervened in the matter, raising the hope that the union may call off the strike soon.
Report has it that some universities voted for the suspension of the strike, others voted for conditional suspension.
ASUU according to reports are currently awaiting the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari on the salary increase for university lecturers to decide if the strike will be suspended.
