The Western Security Network codenamed Amotekun in collaboration with other security agencies in Ondo state have assured that the ember months patrol is to guarantee safety of lives and properties.
Giving the assurance in Akure while parading 62 suspected criminals arrested across the 18 local government areas and local council development areas of Ondo state, the Commander of Amotekun, Adetunji Adeleye, said all security agencies in the state are working collectively to ensure the state has zero tolerance for crime.
He said the arrest of suspected criminals arose from distress calls and surveillance activities of Amotekun men and all the security agencies in the state.
The Amotekun boss who is also special adviser to the governor on security matters stated that across board, security agencies were able to track down 15 suspected kidnappers, armed robbers and burglars in Akure metropolis.
He added that some of the suspects were arrested with guns, huge amount of money received as part of ransom from victims, and cigarettes, bread that kidnappers used to collect ransom from victims.
The security boss noted that the operatives were able to arrest some of the suspects, especially, in Ala/Dada/Ago Oyinbo axis of Akure North local government area of the state. While some suspected kidnappers were apprehended at Elegbeka axis of the state.
