Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, AMMASCO International plc, Alhaji Mustapha Ado Mohammed, has donated working tools worth thousands of naira to members of the Nigerian Automobiles Technicians Association(NATA) Kano state chapter, for effective service delivery.
Speaking at the distribution of the working tools to 10 selected centres across the 44 local government areas in Kano Thursday, Mohammed said empowering the automobile technicians has been the cardinal thrust of the engine oil outfit, in view of their immense contribution to the development of the automobile business.
He said the working tools would serve to ginger the resolve of the practitioners of the automobile industry for them to stand on their feet at the time when the issue of empowering the unemployed youth in the country became imperative, stressing that the working tools were not meant for onward disposal in the market.
Mohammed, who was represented by the executive director of the company, Alhaji Auwal Mohamed, however stated that supporting the drive for entrepreneurial development would greatly help in reducing the disturbing spate of youth unemployment across the nation, stressing that the company had been inspired to promote the initiative, courtesy of the empowerment scheme introduced by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Speaking earlier, the president, Nigerian Automobiles Technicians Association (NATA), Magaji Muhamad Sani, described the AMMASCO oil as one of the best in the country and its impact and reliability was greatly being felt and acknowledged across the country, pointing out that the level of enthusiasm being exhibited by its users across the nation was clear testimony to its reliability and acceptability.
He said NATA members across the country, had been fully utilising the opportunity of using AMMASCO oil in servicing all category of vehicles and that the leadership of the association had not received a single complaint of standard failure from its members patronising the products.
On his part, the special assistant to Governor Ganduje on automobiles, Idriss Hassan, said a lot has passed under the bridge as far as the effort of the Kano state government under the leadership of the governor was concerned in the area of youth empowerment and vocational job creation, affirming that it was such an effort that had inspired hundreds of youth to undergo special automobile training.
