Alleged 400m Fraud: Metuh knows fate Tuesday

After almost two years it began, Justice Okon Abang of the federal high court Abuja will Tuesday February 25, 2020, deliver judgment in the N400 million fraud cases leveled against Chief Olisa Metuh.

Metuh, formerly national publicity secretary of the People Democratic Party (PDP) was dragged to court by the federal government.

Blueprint reports that earlier before now, the judge had fixed November 26 date for judgment after counsels to both parties had adopted their final written address for and against the charge slammed against the erstwhile spokesperson.

During the previous court outing, the defence team urged the court to discharge and acquit Metuh, arguing that the prosecution has failed totally in establishing any case against him.

On its part, the prosecution hinges the need for Metuh’s conviction on evidences already established against him.
