Lafi a Governor Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has signed a total number of 1, 800 of certificates of occupancy within the last six years.
The Commissioner for Lands and Town Planning, Mr.
Sonny Agasi, disclosed this yesterday in Lafia at a press briefing.
He explained the milestone achievement by the governor as a great one saying that since the state was created in 1999 only 234 certificates were signed.
According to him, “from 1999 to 2007, 214 certificates were signed, and from 2007 to 2011, 24 certificates were also signed then from 2011 to August 2016 a total of 1, 800 certificates were signed by Al-Makura.
” He advised the general public before putting on structures should consult the Ministry or Nasarawa Urban Development Board (NUDB) for advice in order to avert natural disaster
