The Police Public Relation Officer, SP Odiko MacDon, in a statement obtained by Blueprint on Tuesday in Uyo, said the constabularies were from Akwa Ibom origine.

The statement said the Commissioner of Police, CP Amiengheme Andrew, tasked the recruit to remain disciplined and avoid act capable of giving Nigerian Police Force bad name.
Andrew, who identified their major role to be assisting the Police in performing its constitutionally assigned responsibilities, assured them of his continued availability
“16 each were picked out of the 50 selected from each of the 31 local government areas of the state to participate in the first batch of training which took place at Police Training School (PTS) Calabar.

“I want you (Special Constabularies) up to be disciplined and eschew any act capable of denting the image of the Nigeria Police Force in the State”.
The Commissioner called on the state government to liaise with the state command and assist in sending other batches for the training.
