The Super Eagles have been widely tipped to qualify from 2023 AFCON Group A along with hosts Cote d’Ivoire.
Thursday night’s draw has pitted the Eagles with Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau in a group based in Abidjan.
They begin their campaign against Equatorial Guinea.
Sunday Mba, whose goal against Burkina Faso won Nigeria a third AFCON 10 years ago, said the Eagles will be expected to go past the first round of the tournament, but warned against complacency.
Nigeria will qualify from their team, but we cannot underrate any of our opponents because all of them are a lot more prepared now,” he predicted.
A very confident fan, Peter Ishola, said the Super Eagles will be the team at the AFCON, which kicks off on January 13, 2024.
“We should beat Cote d’Ivoire to top this group. We will take on all the teams will come against,” he said.
