Adeleke vows economic revival in Osun if..

Osun state governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ademola Adeleke, has vowed to revive the economy of the state through multi-sectoral development if elected as governor in the September 22 gubernatorial election.
Adeleke, known for his humorous dancing steps, spoke at Ede on Thursday while addressing his constituents over a forged certificate scandal.
Premium Times reported how an Osogbo High Court in Osun cleared Adeleke to contest in governorship election in the state.
The judge, David Oladimeji, said the case “lacks merit” and accordingly dismissed it. However, Adeleke has remained mute on the revelation by Premium Times that he claimed to have graduated from an American University is false.
This newspaper published how the university stated that although the politician was once its student, he did not graduate.
Meanwhile, an unperturbed Adeleke said agricultural investment is the best means to address poverty in the state.
“We will run an issue based campaign. I will focus on agriculture through investment.
I am already talking to local and international stakeholders in this respect.
“We will review the state of the education sector to improve performance of our students in national examination.
We used to be under single digit rating.
Now Osun is number 29 or so.” Adeleke also said if elected, Osun would be back to top position in national examination ratings.
“We will improve teachers’ welfare through regular payment of salaries and provision of teaching aids.
