ACCI partners Koinonia to train stakeholders on export drive

In order to properly gain from the massive opportunities inherent in the export business, the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) is partnering Koinonia Ventures Ltd to train and retrain stakeholders in the area. According to the lead facilitator, Mr. Olufemi Boyede, the Chief Executive Officer of Koinonia, the expansive training is to hold from Tuesday 5th June-Thursday 7th June, 2018. Tagged, “Export Readiness Program: 10 Steps to Successful Exporting”, the training is designed to cut across major themes such as ‘what to export’, ‘where to export’ and ‘where to find fi nances for your exports’. Other areas carefully targeted to be covered during he training scheduled to hold at the Business Entrepreneurship Skills and Technology (BEST) center of the chamber are: ‘how to write bankable export credit requests, ‘ how to make export offer’ and offer’ ‘how to appoint a forwarding agent. “The training is a sine qua non to all the players in this area of business as it is deliberately structured in a manner that would comprehensively address current global best practices in this highly profi table business area. “The training is targeted at all the appropriate government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), those intending to go into this area of business, new entrants, persons and organisation interested in repositioning their trading activities in this regard, in addition to those who wish to scale up their distribution and supply network. “We are also going to train trade support organizations, banks withexport desks, advisory service organizations, freight forwarders, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and all the stakeholders in the export value chain”, Boyede emphasized. According to him, the training is therefore tailored to carter for the various interests and needs of anyone who falls under the category enumerated pointed out that those who will have the opportunity to attend will be taken through the theoretical and practical aspects of the business.
