2023: PDP sure of victory in Lagos, Atiku boasts

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has reiterated his commitment in ensuring that his party takes over government in Lagos state by 2023.

Atiku who was represented at a rally organised for him by 100 volunteer groups in Lagos by the party’s governorship candidate in Lagos State Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) said the party can only attain that goal if its members were united, just as he urged members of the party to shelve their differences and work for the common goal of winning elections in the 2023 general elections.

Atiku urged members of the party to go out en masse to campaign for the party. 

He maintained that the presidential election which comes up in February 25, 2023 along with the National Assembly elections should be taken with all seriousness, and once the party win those elections, the governorship and House of Assembly elections which come up in March 11,2023 would be made much easier.

The support groups, included Grassroots Ambassadors, Arewa for Atiku, Atiku Progressives Forum, Atiku Unifying Projects, Face of Waziri, South-West Youths Vanguard, Concerned Youths Initiatives for Atiku, Omolere for Atiku, among others.

Addressing the gathering, Engineer Jide Adeniji  former Chairman of Federal Road Maintenance Agency FERMA who is a member of the presidential campaign committee assured members of the party, that the party would win the governorship election, just as he  expressed delight at the rally organised for the party presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku and his vice Ifeanyi Okowa.

He therefore urged members of the support groups to collaborate and work as a team to move the party forward,  as he assured them  that “we shall together win” the 2023 General Elections.”

Adeniji said it was time to put an end to what he termed stagnation in Lagos State which the ruling party All Progressives APC has imposed on the state in the last 29 years the opposition party has been in government, “I want to assure you that Jardor would form the next government in Lagos in 2023.”

Hon. Oladimeji Fabiyi, a member of the Presidential Campaign Council of PDP, asserted that Alhaji Atiku, the Presidential Candidate of the party, was determined to rescue the country, saying that the former vice-president of Nigeria was an experienced person.

“Atiku Abubakar is coming to rescue Nigeria, recover Nigeria, secure the country from insecurity, and recover the exchange rate, among others. Atiku has done it before, he is going to recover Lagos, he is a unifier,” he said.

Fabiyi described Lagos State as unique in the coming poll, and winnable, he urged the party members and loyalists not to allow anybody to intimidate them but they should vote for the PDP candidates.

Chairman of the volunteer groups, Chief Nurudeen Olokowo, said Nigerians are looking forward to Atiku to rescue Nigeria, so that life can be meaningful to the citizenry.

Olokowo said the huge support witnessed at the rally was proof that the PDP candidates are sellable “our products are sellable, healthy and pragmatic.
