The Caf Champions League and Caf Confederation Cup preliminary rounds draw will signal the kick-off of the 2023/24 club competition continental football.
Percy Tau’s former club, Mamelodi Sundowns together with his current side Al Ahly and Wydad Casablanca will are most likely to receive a bye to the second round.
Simba, Esperance and Sundowns’ familiar foes CR Belouizdad are also likely to get a pass in the next round given their performances and advances in recent competitions.
